Iām not sure why you pussies are equivocating. I think Biden did very well all things considered. I donāt like most of what he said but it was effective.

Yeah, Iām feeling much better than I was around 9:45. Consensus seems to be Trump was a disaster and Biden did what he could under the circumstances, missed some shots, but the takeaway is how horrible Trump was.

Initially reactions Iām seeing online are calming my earlier fears slightly. Pretty much everyone thinks it was a disaster and Trumps lack of calling our white supremacists is getting a lot of discussion.

I think a lot of the diehard trumpkins are kind of blown away that he could lose a debate, let alone to someone that theyāve been convinced is demented. Theyāre lashing out at Wallace and going to spend the next 12 hours trying to get him cancelled to allow for them to compartmentalize the reality that their godking bleeds.

Part of my āproblemā is that when I watch these things I do my level best to watch them as a Trumpkin.
The artificial Trumpkin mentality that I forced myself to watch this with felt pretty damn good about Trumpās performance. Based on the initial reactions, Iām doing it wrong. The virtual Trumpkin OS Iām running definitely needs to be updated.

Yes, but the Trumpkin is with him no matter what, and probably doesnāt need the motivation to get to the polls. Itās about everyone else.
My biggest concern is that it turns people off from voting altogether. But I think Biden can correct for that in the next debates. Focus on what he will do. Heck, say at the beginning of debate #2 āIām going to ignore his lies and speak to you and tell you what my plans are and what theyāll do for you.ā

We donāt have to worry about those engaged enough to watch the debate live. I worry about the low info voters who only get to see curated clips on social media.

I think the biggest takeaway from this debate should be that events like these play very differently between the always online crowd and people who are not always online.

I think that helps Biden. The curated clips will be not denouncing white supremacists. Telling the Proud Boys to stand by. And other clownish things from Trump.
