I donāt watch these things in full, but I caught a few minutes and in just those few, Trump said asylum seekers are rapists and killers, only low IQ people show up for their court dates and 99% donāt (a total lie, I believe the correct figure is 95% do show up), and child separation was āgood.ā Good to see the media is so unhinged that this is being touted as a respectable performance from the President.

Look, Yuv, I get that. I appreciate that. But these lamestream UP posters, they donāt remember that. Theyāll never say. They never say. We absolutely dominated that first debate commentary, but youāll never hear them say that now. Itās tremendously unfair. Itās called dominate the debate commentary, and we did that. But they act like it never happened.

The evening headlines of the NYT and WaPo are almost identical in terms of denoting the two candidates have very different visions.
Maybe they are just walking the middle until their editors can come up with a way to slam Biden.
Iād be shocked if this debate made a 1% change in either direction. Thatās a win. Letās move the fuck on and be glad we never in our lives have to watch those two battle for who can fuck up the least.

Iām probably more pessimistic on Bidenās chances of winning than anyone here and I donāt feel this particular debate really did much of anything to help Trump
Think of what would motivate someone like a right winger to register and rush to the polls to vote and then multiply that by 5,000,000.
If the news just ran Sesame Street and nothing else until the election, Biden would win and I would collect on my pop vote.

Jill in North Carolina in the Luntz group: Trump acting so presidential allowed me to finally compare their policies without thinking so much about his abrasive personality. Iām probably leaning more towards Trump now. He was more articulate and provided more substance on the issues.
