The Ethics Of Teenage Political Opinions

I thought all the kids were on SnapTok these days. I consider myself fairly competent with the internet for a 40something but my daughter and her friends are on a whole other level. I’m sure young Miss Conway will be fine with her public tweets being discussed publicly, and tbh I’m sure both her parents are also enjoying the attention.

Kids like this are our future and give me hope for this world. Borderline child abuse to demand the Conways aka Kellyanne aka Trump be allowed to silence her.

The victims at Stoneman Douglas would also be outlawed by clovis’s logic as well since many who posted about it were under 18.

i have no idea why it wouldn’t be posted

also back to skydiver’s point that if her name was Claude Conway and was still 15, absolutely NO ONE would have objected to reposting her tweet

If you think this is egregiously awful, how did you feel about the let’s burn down Tucker Carlson’s house even if his family are at home posts on 22?

The arguments weren’t clear at all but I didn’t feel like arguing much because it was dumb as hell and I just posted it as a joke so I deleted the tweets

It all started here if you want to go read over it

I think kids of famous people that mostly just act like other kids and occasionally say something political should be ignored by everyone. Which is what I initially thought was the case here. But it seems pretty clear that’s actually not the case, and she has every right to call out her mom if she wants to.

I say good for her to assert herself as her own person who is not beholden to them or their views just because they conceived her. People like Louise Menche are telling her RESPECT YOUR PARENTS THEY LUV YOU. That is ridiculous bullshit. The Strict Father mentality can die a quick death along with the GOP. They deserve precisely zero respect simply for being her parents. Claims to the contrary fall into the fallacy that power and respect are intrinsic to a hierarchy where father, mother, children must defer to each other in that order.

No. We are not going to wokescold ourselves into total rhetorical and discursive impotence, which it’s becoming more and more clear is your all-but-explicit goal.

No, clovis. edited to show that.

This is way healthier and better than realizing her mom sucks at like age 27, then feeling compelled to stay silent about it to preserve an eventual inheritance or keep up appearances.

Clovis posted as if people were ripping on the kid, but people were supporting her. Is that right?

Generally yes.

Yup everything posted was supportive. I mean even on her twitter almost all the replies are supportive

he wanted posts deleted for discussing the tweet, that was the original point of his post

Huh? The sick burn was a compliment to the reply she made to her dad unless I missed some posts

You are correct. I will edit my post.

Totally agree Clovis. I…

…oh.

Of course not but everyone please carry on lying, taking the worst possible interpretation of every post and hearting the guy saying I’m essential downplaying pedophiles.

I really am done here I think. It’s not fun anymore. It’s just mean all the time.

Of course you leave out the post where I’m said to be equating child rape and tweet posting.
