I’m guessing the firm told it was ok to be involved - and keep the sweet $ coming in from representing R’s - but that she needed to keep a low profile to not tarnish their name. It would be pretty hard for her to do this all without them having any knowledge of her involvement. They just seem upset that the call was released and people became aware of her complicity.
