Every person should secede and form their own state so that there are 320 million individual votes in the Electoral College. Alternatively, we could go with the popular vote.

Did the south really lose the civil war. Yes that lost outright slavery but they got a fair bit of the benefit back and most of the control. Not to mention the disproportionate power in the Senate and all that entails.
The seem to be able to beat back progress. Black senators in the 1870s? Voting rights act of the 1960s? Women’s issues. Gay rights. They are working hard on those.
