The military is on our team so no. One of the funniest thing about 2A freaks is that they think they have enough firepower to resist tyranny or whatever. Meanwhile the country they actually live in has the largest prison population in the world and a military that could fight the rest of the world simultaneously and win, extinct the entire species in <10 hours, and kill them a hundred different ways without them even seeing the thing that killed them coming.
Trump has wasted more than a month and has like 45 days left to do anything else. The electoral college meets in a week. Wonder what he’ll be running his mouth off about after that.
Yeah occupy the whole world we most certainly couldn’t. I’ve got an entire other set of principles for when/how a government can hold territory where the locals don’t want them there. Since the 20’s it’s been borderline impossible to take territory without local popular support, and everywhere it worked was basically ethnic cleansing. The weapons are too small to prevent from getting to the population and then they are functionally everywhere at once.
But when it comes to stuff like planes, tanks, air defenses, artillery, ships, etc? Yeah we’ve got a lot of those. And contrary to these idiots beliefs they aren’t in the majority.
If we ever have a civil war in this country the stand up fight will be over immediately and the ‘low intensity warfare’ will be ugly and go on for years.
I don’t know why people think Kemp is a favorite to win a republican primary in two years. Look at what happened to Sessions, and he was way more popular with republicans in Alabama then Kemp was with republicans in Georgia.
I’m kinda surprised Kemp hasn’t tried to do something here. The pressure on him is enormous and he’s not exactly a principled and honorable man. I bet he buckles and tries the special session thing.
