I had to google to find out what this was about and it was even dumber than I thought. Someone tries to set up Mamdani by asking him if he would denounce some random phrase about globalizing the intifada, and he basically says no, so then Gillibrand attacks him for it. Fuck her.

well, if we’re going to force resignations for saying awful things, some people in congress that are liked here would also have to resign immediately and well that’s just not the era we’re in, especially given the other party is more lol not resigning that’s for losers.

I would request a resignation for politicians who committed potentially criminal behavior, even if it doesn’t lead to actual charges, or who have permanent inability to do the job. (They don’t have to do it well, just perform the basic functions.)

Pretty convenient that she said this now and not 7 years ago when it was very important for Democratic Senators to resign their seats over something a Republican would never dream of resigning over.
