So is there a current projection for the House? I assume we’re turbofucked there too, but couldn’t find anything definitive about what’s expected from the pending races.

Even if we lose the house, the smaller the margin the better the chance something breaks our way. I haven’t seen a projection yet. The current count ā€œlooksā€ bad and it’s hard to imagine dems winning the house in this type of national environment, but fuck if i know.

Yeah, it appears the reds will hold a 3-5 vote margin when its all said and done

Here ya go, Reds need 13 of the remaining races for majority and they are currently ahead in 16

It’s not great but a 3-5 seat majority isn’t the worst thing imaginable. I’ll take what I can get at this point.

The house tends to fall in line rather quickly and the senate is up to 53, possibly 54 reds. Next couple years could get ugly. Flipping the senate by 2028 is not going to be easy. States are becoming more polarized and it feels like we’re losing ground. Gotta hope minimal damage done in 2 years then a big house flip in 26, with significant progress made in the senate.

Decision Desk HQ has called 218 house seats for the Rs.

CNN/NYT/AP still have that total around 214.

Rs currently have won/currently lead in 222 seats, and I’d expect that to be the number +/-2

District where I grew up (which was red +25). Steel is the bad guy.

Dem won my current district for Katie Porter’s seat, which includes Huntington Beach, by like 2%.

26 requires holding MN/VA/GA/MI/NM/NH/NJ yes, I had to type NJ The northeast US was going to shift to the right but trump accelerated the timeline, that wasn’t supposed to be even close for a decade yet.

and flipping NC and finally dumping Susan Collins (somehow she never goes away)

after that they’re still one short needing IA or OH or something as absurd as that TX unless beshear runs in KY (though he still loses but it’s not dead literal so there’s that)

28 is more reasonable only having to defend 5 while attacking 2 (WI/NC)

Steel’s lead is down to 58 votes after today’s update and she is very much the underdog now.
