PA Governor has ordered all non-life-sustaining businesses to close as of 8pm tonight. I imagine NJ will follow suit tomorrow.
He’s back with a mask and a list of instructions. Apparently he got in straight away because he’s a health care worker, otherwise it would have been a 3-4 day wait. Brutal test btw.

Soooooo… lets play a game of what would you do.
You have signed a lease with a new apartment and put in your 30 day notice with your current apartment.
You were set to have people move everything from the old apartment to the new apartment on Saturday. That company called you and said their movers had come down with Covid and their fleet of trucks need to be cleaned to CDC standards and that Saturday will need to be cancelled. Its likely the governor will issue an order closing all non-life sustaining businesses in the state in the next 24 hours. Moving companies are likely to be included in that order.
What do you do?

Stay where you are, pay rent to no one and wait for the embargo to get lifted. No one is evicting anyone anytime soon.

Yeah I need to have a plan in place by April 1. Its likely I wont pay rent to either but Im afraid they will just yoink the apartment that has nothing in it
Contact both landlords, see what my options are. They may even know another mover who can help.
