They don’t specify how frequent is meant by continuous. For example, I’ve coughed once every 20 minutes on average today. Is it continuous enough to be a coronavirus cough?

No, you’ll be coughing for 3 mins then stop, then start after 5 mins for another 3 mins

You’ll find it hard to stop the cough - once every 20 mins more like clearing throat IMO

Probably because Massillon area already has 5 confirmed cases and their governor isn’t tweeting fake news selfies in large crowds. Also, if you get thirsty for some off-the-record @worstof takes you can always come back to IRC.

Didnt realize small snakes were on this board

They are everywhere and more dangerous than ever obv.

I’m going to stop you right there…

If the younger generation cares more, why don’t a lot more of them vote?

Same reasons that every generation before them had their voting rates gradually increase w/ age … oh, and on top of that the Boomers do everything they can to make it as hard as possible for them to vote.

Exactly. Most people of every generation don’t give two fucks until it impacts them financially.

Nah, at first they think the issues are too complicated and olds know better-> Then they start thinking maybe they do know better than the olds but the process to vote is too complicated (and the Boomer olds make it more complicated everyday) and hey my one vote doesn’t matter anyway-> Then they get really fired up about an election to vote, go through the process and are like hey that wasn’t so hard (assuming they don’t live in a polling district where the Boomers made them wait 3 hours in line to vote)-> voting becomes a habit, one that becomes especially easy when you aren’t moving every few months/years

Or they can’t take hours off work or school on a random Thursday to go vote.

If they were auto-registered and could vote by mail it would probably go up.

Wee update from lil old Uruguay, half our confirmed cases (~90) can be traced to a single wedding. I deliver my fruit and veggies every week to someone who was at said wedding!

I agree. It is just unfortunate all the people who tried to keep it at bay are also going to be punished.

US is reporting 12,947 mild cases vs 64 Serious or Critical. Are we testing that many people not in the hospital? Are they classifying Serious or Critical differently than other countries? Whats going here?

Seems like a small sacrifice if you’re so woke about the world ending due to global warming. I mean there are definitely people, mostly in minority areas, where it is almost impossible to vote because either the nearest polling places are way to far away or the waiting lines are hours long, (or both). But the vast majority of younger folks could vote without much hardship. They just don’t give a fuck.
