RFK Jr Should Not Be Taken As a Serious Anything

How do you say “Froot Loops” though.

:100:

Debatable.

This guilt by association tactic which is a favorite of yours just isn’t compelling. Especially when it comes to something like nutrition where the accepted “science” changes every month.

There is no conclusive proof of anything and we can go study for study all night about whether things like food dyes, seed oils, preservatives, and other shit we put in our processed food is bad or not.

What’s obvious though is that the introduction of all of these into our diet in high quantities correlates almost perfectly to increased levels of cancer, inflammation, and chronic disease in our lives. Correlation doesn’t equal causation you say! Sure, but personally it seems quite logical to me that the type of foods we ate for thousands of years is likely to be better handled biologically by our bodies than the chemistry set we currently consume.

Maybe that makes me a quack. Or maybe Europe which has stricter regulations and is less bought off by capitalist food and drug companies has figured something out?

RFK and this thread are Froot Loops

Why not both? All of US food regulations are to limit how cheaply our food can be mass produced. Why are you even entertaining the notion that a brain worm who eats road kill and is an anti-vaxer is going to do anything good to the regulations of the food or drug companies? Particularly when some CEO just has to book a few rooms at one of Trump’s properties or buy a few thousand shares of DJT to be able to write the regulations themselves?

There is this American Youtuber who lives in Germany for some years and complains every time he returns to the US and eats something he gets sick now. He has to adapt like for a couple of days lol.

And the quality of food in Germany isn’t even that great compared to places like Austria or Italy imo.

Food in Germany is gross. My wife went there and her stomach was quite upset by the end as everything came with fries and the only greens were basic iceberg lettuce salads. So much butter and everything was way too heavy and rich.

Been super focused on food the last few months, including tracking all macros. Imo, US food is fine. What makes people unhealthy (though much healthier than almost all humans in the last 80,000 years) is that abundant calories are cheap and readily available (looking at you, peanut butter) and we have constructed our environments and workplaces to limit “inconvenient” physical activity. In both cases, I just see this as the market (human desires) speaking without regard to the long term consequences for individual health. I have actually been supportive of government policy favoring exercise, including free gyms, since I’ve been back on the fitness bandwagon and have seen dramatic improvements in health and well being. We were not designed biologically for a world of ease and abundance.

Not super familiar with authentic German food, but currywurst is good stuff, and I had a German-style bologna sandwich once that far exceeded my expectations.

Interesting that they don’t have peanut butter in France and Belgium.

I was speaking more of the quality of the ingredients, not the specific dishes. Most German dishes you get in restaurants are not super healthy unless they contain sauerkraut.

I like to go to a german deli in los angeles that has great brats/potato salad (many kinds) and lots of other stuff i cant name, and I don’t get this as much, but some dishes I could certainly see. I like german food a lot but I’m a lard ass

So fasting is considered healthy?

Of course! :transmet_smiley:

Anyway if you can fade another pandemic situation, brainworm bearprank guy might turn out to be the best thing in the upcoming administration! :transmet_smiley:

That’s a joke right?

half and half, I mean best relative to the rest obv; that’s conceivable.

Raw half and half

Let’s face it: eating road kill is good for the environment. I hear in NY you can get a license for that.
