RFK Jr Should Not Be Taken As a Serious Anything

We will see what big pharma has to say about that, given how much money they give the politicians.

Hot take: The FDA is a scam and RFK does have some good ideas, ivermectin aside

I dunno man, I bothered to actually read the label and it seems alot of the difference is added vitamin and mineral supplements in the US version. Which is probably good for kids?

The FDA is underfunded and RFK is going to exacerbate the problem. You think Europeā€™s consumer products are better because they donā€™t have robust government agencies?

I think our obesity crisis is at least partially caused by the way our food is packaged and processed, even relative to Europe. The issue isnā€™t just the amount of funding, but who is doing the funding. Not sure Pharma companies are the good guys here.

Been watching two uk TikTokers eat all the us food not allowed in Europe. They are loving the forbidden fruit. Maybe us Froot Loops are worth dying for.

I agree, I just disagree that the FDA/USDA and other agencies that are supposed to regulate the pharma/ag companies will do a better job under the leadership of whatever deranged worm-riddled fool Trump picks.

Maybe, maybe not. I think FDA/Pharma has done a lot of bad things, and RFK also has bad ideas no doubt. Hard to argue with people getting fed up with the former though.

If RFK ends up heading the FDA thereā€™s going to be a lot of stories quoting parents about ā€œI really wish I would have gotten my kid (whatever) vaccinationā€. Same as folks asking for the covid vax on their deathbeds.

Disagree. Weā€™ll get a lot of heartwarming tales about how some kid got sick with the measles, his next door neighbor kid brought him soup everyday, but caught measles and died.

My mother had polio and she was fine. The kind of story they donā€™t want you to hear!

Iā€™m not going to dig into this, but I would guess the US has stricter requirements about what needs to be included on food labels and that mainly explains the difference.

Itā€™s fucking cereal

Seems like it could be an important thing to dig into!

Correct, cereal is bad. RFKā€™s point that I disagree with is that adding vitamin and mineral supplements to them makes them worse.

Vitamins and minerals supplements are definitely bad, got it! Should forward your resume to the late, great RFK Jr.

Can you be more specific as to how a reasonable person could be fed up with the FDA?
