Ins0 really goes out of his way to be obnoxious, he’s not a great example of someone arguing in good faith.
I think F72 is honestly the most right-wing person here, but he’s chill and people seem to get along with him.

Ins0’s banning is absurd in hindsight given how you post and the covidiots thread among other things. All for RGB who is an actual shitlib lol.
Can also barely tolerate leftists though
I mean Ins0 was surely sincere in his beliefs, and took way more heat than he dished out.
It makes sense that the tone of the board and maybe the overton window of discussion is partisan. I’m not sure about the actual moderation guidelines being partisan. Like you can say A if you’re a progressive but not if you’re a centrist/righty.
That would seem to be making Victor’s point?
Not only have we completed a week of intensive talks at the highest levels, we have setup a procedure whereby we can continue to have discussions in the future.
This should be the reality. If a mod doesn’t work out, he should not be re-elected in the future.
There are very few things a mod can do that should warrant removal.
Beggars are very much trying to be choosers here.
I mean, the reality is all this bullshit is over some crypto posts one guy didn’t like. There is no actual moderation issue. The one guy who arguably has a right to be pissed is @JonnyA and he handled it like a champ.
He was sincerely happy his beliefs “triggered” the libs. He wouldn’t enjoy those beliefs if they didn’t. It’s pure culture war distillation, not morality.
Yeah so much of this is not just bad faith but horrible faith.
Can’t wait for the Annoying line walk trolling we get when someone is dmed a calm down dm. Because the problem people will be so open and accepting to ANY criticism.
I got banned for saying s#@$(*+ when making a point about the arguing over c#@&
Could go both ways.
I just don’t see any value in these warnings. Warnings are already a think mods use. Requiring them before a further step is superfluous at best.
Yeah warnings are already at mods discretion, I am fine with that.
Otherwise we are going to have people crying they got banned for acting out about getting a warning. This much is obvious to me.
Mods can warn people now if the offense deems it. That is enough and doesn’t need adjustment or a hard rule.
Right and warnings are a tool in the moderator tool belt. They don’t need to be mandatory.
The mod drama is a never ending debacle from 2+2 over to here.
People always unhappy.
I am just content to have someone clean the table on their own free time.
Wrong about what exactly? That warnings are already a thing? Or that requiring them would not change anything?
Certainly wouldn’t have kept those who left here. As we saw it was not really unfair moderation just any moderation towards them as pretty much every single mod has been accused of wrongfully punishing people.
People need to accept their own culpability in the drama. Some are unwilling to do so and fly on virginal wings.
Many people also left just because of the constant drama about moderators and had enough.
