I don’t know of any, but if they exist they are probably things where there is no individual consumer experience to ruin. There might be some B2B services for example where the PE model works perfectly fine because those businesses are just intermediary efficiency plays.
Doesn’t Berkshire have a private equity division? I’m sure they’ve done some good restructuring. Their insurance business is all private equity I believe.
Where/what is this?
Where do you like to clam? I might have some suggestions…
The Breakwater Resort in Grayland was a go-to and Pacific Dune in Copalis Beach both have the same vibe now. Being able to walk to the beach is cool but not a dealbreaker, but a refrigerator, sink and cooktop are required. Usually two to four people. Have stayed in Pacific Beach before, but not for a long time.
Amazing!
Fifa is planning to sell a significant minority stake in a new commercial entity valued at about $20bn, as world football’s governing body seeks to cash in on this summer’s highly lucrative World Cup. Joshua Kushner, the tech investor whose elder brother Jared Kushner is married to President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump, is in talks to lead the deal through his Thrive Eternal fund.

It is said that the Donald Trump administration has been consulted over the plan and bank JP Morgan is handling the process. Infantino could become the commissioner of the new entity upon the end of his presidency at Fifa in 2031. He would expect to bank millions of pounds in such a role.

We camp in Greyland a bit, but that’s probably not what you’re looking for.
It’s 10 minutes from Grayland but I’m pretty sure Tradewinds on the Bay in Tokeland is tribal owned or at least linked to the casino there in some way. You won’t be walking to the beach, but it isn’t too far a drive.
But yeah, AirBnBs probably the best bet.
This is perhaps one of the worst ever:
Chicago sold parking rights for 75 years for $1 billion. Morgan Stanley immediately upped parking rates and was just absolutely raking in the money. According to this article the remaining 55 years are worth more than $3 billion while Morgan Stanley has already recouped the purchase price plus more.
Can’t wait for UEFA and hopefully Conmebol to breakaway and form their own organization.
UEFA are the Democrats of soccer. They’ll just send some strongly worded letters and fold
Yeah I have no hope they’ll find a spine. I mean FFS, what would FIFA do without European teams in the WC? That would basically be the special Olympics of soccer.
Yeah. I thought that clam was pretty unsubstantiated too
I drive 45 minutes to use a mom & pop-owned pharmacy to avoid Walgreens and CVS. The experience is so much better. They know my doctor and she can call them up if there’s an issue and work things out for me. Such a better experience than using CVS.
I stand corrected!
tl;dr - UEFA will boycott privatization.
Fingers crossed the Yankees are next!

Why would they do this?
gen Z are shunning private equity’s restaurant takeover
Fucking gen z, I’ll spend $20 on an acai bowl if I want
I learned that the dermatology practice that twice dismissed my wife’s melanoma is in fact owned by PE. Their failure in her case probably has nothing to do with wanting to move as quickly as possibly onto doing more filler and Botox injections where they really make their money, but it’s hard to not think about that.
