But the concepts!
I believe Scott Adams was the first to attempt rescuing Trumpâs Charlottesville rhetoric from its obvious meaning. Not gonna dig for the source material on this, I followed Adams pretty regularly throughout 2016 but his reputation was almost completely shot by 2017 anyway.

Amazing how fast this spun out of control for him. Also easy to miss him saying she âput out.â

180-65= 115 million adult liars in this country. Do we consider this when looking at polls?
Still a very large audience, which is what you want when kicking the guyâs ass.
This is absolutely savage.
70 share means 70% of TVs were tuned in.
Ok. Iâm just relying on that guyâs estimate of total audience size. The precise number isnât particularly important, just that it doesnât approach the ridiculous 180 million who said they would watch according to the NPR poll.
Anyway, here are some more debatable debate numbers.
Hillary v Trump, 2016: 84 M
First Biden v Trump, 2020: 73 M
Biden v Trump, 2024: 51 M
Harris v Trump, 2024: 65 M
Iâve seen these posts myself.
Well there were only 155 million votes cast in the 2020 election. Safe to guess the viewership of this debate wasnât going to outpace the actual votes cast in the last general. I assume that the 70% was from either likely or registered voters that made it through the screening to count for the poll.
Just adults.
This survey of 1,529 adults was conducted September 3rd through September 5th, 2024 by the Marist Poll
sponsored in partnership with NPR and PBS News. Adults 18 years of age and older residing in the
United States were contacted through a multi-mode designâŚ
Forget about who won for a second. That was easily the most entertaining debate I have ever watched. Truly up there with the summer 2015 GOP debates where JEB and Little Marco got humilated.
