Fuck you [Trump], that’s why.

I personally am ready to vote and get it done with. How many times have you heard “I wish the election was today?”

That’s why. For these folks, the election IS today.

Right, Yggy is actually extremely good, it’s just that people who are Extremely Online get mad at him because they think he’s supposed to be a librul cheerleader instead of actually appreciating the takes.

Was wondering when I’ll get my ballot. Saw this:

“All of California’s registered voters will be mailed a ballot no later than 29 days prior to Election Day.”

yep, ballots go out Monday, Oct 5th. So depending on the USPS, a few days later.

They can ask, but most exit polling is notoriously unreliable. A lot of people, especially in the midwest, still have the “my vote is private” mentality and refuse to answer.

I was raised to NEVER EVER EVER ask or talk about who someone voted for or how much money they make. It was a culture shock moving to CA where people talk about that shit all the time. Fuck, when I was a kid, my parents wouldn’t even tell me who they voted for when I asked them.

It’s so insane that we are sweating a few states that will come down to a couple percentage points one way or the other. What an atrociously awful system. The EC makes no sense and needs to be abolished. Imagine if every vote counted equally, and whoever got the most votes won. What a concept.

Blockquote
"The chairman of the Pennsylvania Republican Party says, on the record, that he has discussed appointing loyal electors with the Trump campaign: “It is one of the available legal options set forth in the Constitution.” "

Good, but I hope someone has a word with him about online voting.

Aren’t you a psychologist?

LOL. I guess I should have said, “I understand why many people do it; it just seems really silly to me.”

You know your state sucks when Chait can dunk on it

GA/TX are far more important than OH for dems anyway with all those senate races.

Also those two states are at least blue team gaining states and OH is probably slightly going the other way if anything.

This seems like pretty good advice.

cheating proof tipping point state is one dems are in charge of on the state level.

So almost none of them.

I never have and never will believe this. Exit polling was reliable up until about the 1988 or 1990 elections and has inexplicably underestimated Republican final vote share in most (perhaps all but I’d have to double check) presidential and mid-term elections since then. If I remember right, the errors tend to be largest in key battleground states. If this happened with the exit polls we used to verify elections in other countries we’d claim vote rigging and overturn the results.

*The exception this time is mail-in ballots will make it impossible.
