I guess some of you have much greater tolerance for drama than I do. Or want to be a part of it.
Why don’t you ask Olink their motives rather than just throwing out random guesses?
I don’t know olink but right now the choice is between him or no one so he gets a yes from me.

OK so yeah this is of of course a reasonable question.
1 I like this place, and would like to contribute. Even though I’m not a very frequent poster and I have hardly posted at all lately because frankly too many threads are people being to bitchy, and even on the internet personal fights aren’t really my thing.
2 It needs doing, and I have the technical skills.
3 I think the job is better done by somebody like myself that is relatively quiet and conflict-averse. It’s not going to fix everything but a steady hand in this role will give us all one less thing to worry about.
I started thinking about it a few days ago when JMakin said he needed out asap, at the time I figured one of the more voluble posters would ante up. But everybody is nearing the end of their tether. My hope is that by taking on some of the load others can have a little more headspace to collect their thoughts and get back to normal.

olink provided a link to his personal website and his linkedin page to spider, who, with olink’s permission, shared it with zz and I and it all seems to check out. The first google hits for his name are for his business (5/5 stars as voted by google users) and not some sex registry or admo scammer site or anything like that
