Police Murder George Floyd Then Riot Nationwide (Links to Streams in OP)

You’re right.

But escalating anger won’t work. When I get to this point, I usually just post this and be done with it. Most of them step off when confronted by MLK.

By American standards, I’ll take your word that the local PD isn’t terrible. But, just remember that America is a huge outlier by international standards. Our friends from across the pond can correct me if I’m wrong, but from the data I’ve seen, 4 fatal shootings might be an average year for all of England. We in the States just accept a level of violence from our police that just doesn’t happen in a lot of other countries.

These are his cops though.

Upon further reading, not only is this not accurate, but each line is exponentially less accurate than the previous line. This is basically the COVID curve of paragraphs, except instead of deaths, you’re getting “wrong legal advice from tv shows” knowledge.

A cursory look at the Hennepin county website states that all of the county examiners are board certified pathologists, with several additionally sub-specialist boarded pathologists available for problem cases. It’s not some podunk deep south shithole where the guy doing the autopsy has a chaw in his cheek.
And I’d think it doubtful that this is going to be a botched postmortum - the ME office is going want this one done perfectly, no one is going to screw this up for some 18 time loser cop who killed someone on camera.

Unless Minnesota is even more fucked up than it seems, I guess.

More of Umbrella Guy, some circumstantial evidence he was the one setting fires. I’m a few minutes into it starting from 11:39, where it was linked to via Reddit. I’ll update if there’s stronger evidence later. But you see the same guy going around, and this YouTuber believes he was using the umberlla to hide that he was not just breaking windows, he was setting fire. The fire started right by the window he broke, a few minutes later.

I mean, the fact that intoxication was a comorbidity to his death doesn’t in the least make it less murder. I’m sure he probably was intoxicated, one of the reports had him stumbling and falling, which the officers labeled “resisting” when in fact it was just him stumbling and falling. You could see that in one of the camera views that I think was posted somewhere here. I agree that but-for and proximate causation is not going to be an issue to prove here given all the other facts.

Agreed.

Wtf is a “potential” intoxicant? You either found something in his bloodstream or you didn’t.

But yeah, he def died of alcohol or something, just a total coincidence that the timing was while two fat fucks were on his neck and lungs.

It’s tough when you’re dealing with family. I’d never talk to my mom about this kinda thing because she’d for sure say something horrible. A white person claiming they understand what it’s like to be a minority is incredibly insensitive and there’d probably be some pretty nasty consequences if she said that to the wrong crowd. On some level I imagine you’re doing her a favor by letting her know that it’s unacceptable, but of course she is family, so it’s hard to know how much is too much when pushing something like this.

Next you’ll be telling me they actually can trace cellphone calls and they don’t have to tell you they’re cops if you ask them. World falling apart here.

Can you link the reddit thread.

I’m seeing it a lot on facebook. Honestly I think its him, and its fucking crazy this was caught on camera.

Yeah I hate conspiracies as much as the next guy but his actions in those videos is fucking weird.

ETA: When I first saw his photo next to the gas mask guy I was like “how the fuck does that prove anything?” Then I saw the videos too.

Lol, the “keep him on the phone for another 2 minutes so we can trace the call!” tv trope is one of the funniest and stupidest ones out there. Like, even just thinking about it logically, if you knew nothing about phone technology, you’d find it suspect.

Tox results routinely take 2-3 weeks - alcohol will be available almost real time, but otherwise not - there’s a lot of testing that needs to be completed, even in an “obvious” case… From the ME’s point of view, he isn’t going to get any deader, and they very much don’t want a surprise result on cause of death after everything has been “finished” with the post. Especially on one that is going to be a political disaster when all is said and done.

I’m not sure what “and as a result of the restraining” means? What part of the restraining exactly and what did it do? cuz normal restraining doesn’t cause death.

You’re giving the cops way too much credit here imo.
Having the guys tasked with brutalizing the minorities of town A investigate the crimes of the guys tasked with brutalizing Town B is not oversight. An independent, democratically accountable body (for instance) could be.
Before you not all cops me again, yes, all cops. Their function in American society has been the brutalization of people of color and the political left for their entire history. That so many decent people like yourself don’t get that yet is a testament to the power of decades of propaganda like dragnet, law & order, etc etc etc. Every damn cop show ever even the shield.

Pathologists are able to take into account the attendant known circumstances and not just the post when coming to an ultimate conclusion as to cause of death. If you have an otherwise healthy guy without an obvious sign of trauma who is dead, and you have a video that someone kneeled him him for 7 minutes while he said he couldn’t breathe, a pathologist can come to the opinion that that was what caused the death, even if he’s not finding obvious things like petechiae, etc.

The OP got taken down and I didn’t read any of the rest of it, but it was here:

As I said, you do you.
