I just pop into 22 when I want to see what the conspiritards are up to.
Yeah I’m gonna go ahead and stop you right there
Having seen the twitter splashback, I’ll hold off until I’ve actually seen Uncut Gems, at least.
Artie Lange’s new(est) podcast is pretty good. He’s as funny as ever. He has that same annoying habit of taking too much instead of letting his guests talk during the interviews but it’s solid overall.

I still find Pod Saves the World interesting. Ben Rhodes gets on some good rants, and they interview interesting guests. Plus they don’t whitewash failures under Obama too badly.
It irks me when he gets pissed at the audience for not laughing at his jokes. I’m perfectly fine with Larry David doing the same thing, but for some reason I think Maher’s a prick because of it.
Might like Infinite Monkey Cage.
I don’t know how people watch Maher for any more than 2 minutes without getting pissed off.
Guy is incredibly smug and unfunny. Some of his political takes are also terrible. Just a total asshole.
Meanwhile the rest of us can’t get same-height dates because “I like my heels.” Socialism my ass
Most recent Planet Money is interesting. It’s about communal land ownership on the isle of Barbuda. The prime Minister wants to institute land ownership rights so they can attract outside investors. What could go wrong?
Oliver isn’t funny anymore. It seems as though his show’s budget was cut because he isn’t doing any weird stuff like he was earlier in the show.
Continue to be completely unimpressed by You Are Not So Smart, must say. The Mark Sargent interview is just a friendly chat, I don’t see any ‘handling’ etc. I listened specifically because it wasn’t going to be a debate as such, but there was a lot of talk about ‘street epistemology’ and so on which, if it’s being done right there, seems like abysmally weak tea. Literally just platforming the guy, albeit to presumably one of the least receptive audiences possible. He still gets to have gone to a big Skepticism Shindig and Not Been Rebutted, though.
I probably should have listened to the interview with the poli-sci guy talking about Flat Earther first, don’t know if I’m even arsed now.
I’m gonna need Wheatrich’s assessment of how evil all this actually is.
Can anyone give me a list of their top 10 Chapo episodes to get started with?
I listened to a few sporadically (Villages, Elliot Abrams, Epstein) and I’m trying to find other good eps.
Hard to remember which the good ones were but a few that stick in my head:
58: We Live In The Zone Now (ep immediately following Trump winning)
164: The Deficit Rag (tax bill, gets less depressing as it goes on)
225: The Poster’s Crusade (review of Dan Pfeiffer’s awful book “Yes We (Still) Can”)
232: America, You Sexy Bigfoot! (review of Meghan McCain’s awful book “America, You Sexy Bitch!”)
241: Hot Couch Nation (a journey inside Felix’s mind palace)
265: Thanksgiving Dinar (MAGA cultists buying up Iraqi dinar)
294: CPAC: Judgement Days (their trip to CPAC, at which Matt took acid)
The episode where they riff on this town in Georgia trying to segregate the town to get rid of minorities to land a cheesecake factory is my favorite 15 minutes of the show ever. I will try and figure out which ep it is and edit it in.
Looks like it’s Episode 262 @feedthabeast
The Pete conspiracy stuff today at the end of the episode was entertaining.
I’d recommend skipping all the live shows, at least until you get more into it.
