I like the good posts that came from me insinuating Einstein was a plagiarist and I wish there was some shit to talk about the other big names but I got nothing, it’s just thieving ass Albert, all the other physicists and mathematicians are good. What can you even say?
For anyone who enjoys learning more about improving our communication skills, these two videos, from MIT and U of Chicago respectively, deal with speaking and writing. Both of the instructors are high level communicators and engaging, especially considering the classroom settings. A good number of “Aha” moments in both lectures.
This is not a freshman level writing seminar. He’s giving this lecture to people who are in masters or PhD programs.
I hardly know where to begin. Feynman, Newton, Hawking,… Ok a lot of guys were just ordinary jerks or oddballs. But the intersection of the sets of assholes and great physicists is far from empty.
Tough case because he was born in Germany. There’s a decent chance his family switched to an Americanized pronunciation upon immigrating and I’d they didn’t then he would have had some pressure to switch during WW1. I lean towards the Anglicized version because I haven’t met any pedantic dicks who strongly insist it’s the other way.
