No one is going to fire you for helping a 65-year-old woman who just got attacked and is lying on the sidewalk feet from the entrance. If they did, which they wouldn’t, you could always take it to the media.

Did they catch the guy who did this yet? I like to think that I’d heroically charge forward and defend the victim here but I’m sure there’s a good chance I’d just stand there slack jawed in shock that this was actually happening in front of me.

Just saying that nearly 100% of the blame needs to be focused on the guy who actually did this awful attack rather than criticizing how bystanders reacted in the seconds during and following the attack. You don’t know how you would react, I don’t know how I would react, we all know how we would like to think we would react. But there is only one villain of note here.
