Shipping for who exactly? Anyone worth that capital is going to come with a hefty salary.

They have been very good at drafting but had some bad injury luck on Sorber and Topic.

Brown or Giannis, as I mentioned above, would have been clear upgrades. They cost about a MLE more than Chet and JDub.

Wemby/Steph/Harp cock blocks any dynasty considerations for their current lesser trio. So they needed to pivot more quickly to becoming clearly better NOW. By the time their draft capital becomes viable Shai will be declining and Wemby will still be ascending.

Chet is better than Brown. JDub probably about equal when you consider that most of Brown’s skills are redundant with SGA. Trading for Brown would probably be the quickest way to ensure the end of their dynasty.

Thunder are already over the second apron, so to do a trade they have to first shed $11 million in salary, and then to move Chet/JDub for Giannis would need to also dump another $17 million. OKC doesn’t have many big contracts, so that would mean dumping two of their rotation players.

Seems like to defend Wemby you need to be quicker and stronger than him, height doesn’t really matter as you’re not blocking him at the top of his shot anyway. Having decent hands to swipe at the ball as he brings it up is also important.
