Memphis voted against it because they have Utah’s pick next year and now it can be no better than the sixth pico because utah has drafted top 5 last year and this year.

Well it starts in 2027. But Utah had top 5 picks (5th in 2025, 2nd in 2026) so they can’t get a third top 5 pick in 2027, which Memphis owns. Probably should have exempted that one holdover issue.
I assumed the 3 consecutive seasons clock would have started in the 2027 draft since the lottery changes start then.
Maybe Memphis should have asked
Seems unfair to penalize a team like that who took an action before the rule change was made.
