It’s not really a hefty price. We gave Bruce a bag of money to hit the salary floor over the summer for situations like this. 2 highly mediocre pics in a weak (?) draft that will end up being low and late 20s and a 2026 first. We have no real need for any more young players. We kept the entire young core and added a former all NBA player at a position of need that will fit like a glove. We could not have signed him to a max over the summer without waiving 2-3 valuable players.
We will offer him a giant contract and he will sign.
Pacers suck at drafting and free agents don’t come here. This is how we have to get talent. The raptors gave up a better first for Potel lol.

Was weird how he said he would not sign an extension with anyone who traded for him and would wait until free agency, but now traded he is indicating he might sign an extension.
Saw a breakdown and Joe challenges out of bounds plays twice as much as average and those are by far the highest to be overturned, like 73% or so.

Kind of wild, I thought there would be a lot of interest in seeing Wemby, Cs tickets have not been cheap lately. Could get floor seats last night for $80. He got a big ovation during the starting lineups, then loudly booed for each free throw. He had a couple wow plays - one dunk over a helping Kornet (where Kornet’s facial expression was like “Well, what can you do?”) and a semi-driving banked in lefthanded shot from like 6 feet that was pretty special.
