National Basketball Association - 2022/23 Season (Part 1)

donovan out in OKC

Iā€™m a Virginia basketball fan. Iā€™ve never seen such a gap between great defense and terrible offense than I just saw in the Bucksā€™ final three quarters.

NBA has tuck ruled itself to death.

Mfing RONDO

Lebrons been draining 3ā€™s these playoffs like no oneā€™s business too. Heā€™s been taking a lot of those shots. He seriously can do everything. The whole squad can shoot pretty well though

Oh god this is really over.

I have been dreaming of a lakers/clippers playoff since i was a little kid. I know it sucks ass for the rest of the country but it doesnt get better than this for me. Maybe the day lebron got traded to the lakersā€¦ MAYBE.

Rondo looking LOOSE like a Thundercat.

Iā€™ve been a Laker fan all my life and I was a lot more excited about the Shaq signing than LeBron.

Shaq was in his prime, LeBron was well past his and coming to a team that wasnā€™t (at the time) just one LeBron away from shipping.

Granted, I was expecting even more greatness from Shaq than he gave us, but given his career to that point it was not an unreasonable expectation.

They were both exciting times, but Shaqā€™s signing was a bigger deal to me.

Seems like some recency bias to me. Theyā€™re on a bit of a heater.

As far as shooting goes, I think theyā€™re the worst team left in the West.

This is based on no checking of stats whatsoever, so lol me if Iā€™m way off.

Shaq is one of the GOATs, the laziness argument is kind of dumb

Better than houston this playoffs and that really surprised me

Marvin Williams is retiring. Very nice 15-year career. Canā€™t ask for a lot more.

Yeah, obviously Shaq is one of the GOATs. Didnā€™t mean to imply otherwise.

I do think he had more in him, though. But even as he was, he was a beast.

Could ask for Chris Paul.

If they gave the whistles to chimpanzees in striped shirts would this shit really be much different?

In for the last 20 seconds.

Same. I felt like Shaq guaranteed us multiple titles, whereas I thought one title with Lebron would be right around expectation, if not slightly above, given his age and the state of the West.

Of course, it was also different in that Shaq was joining a team run by Jerry West, and Lebron was joining one run by Magic Johnson.

The advantage of the Bucks being out is that I can watch games without stress and can solely root for schadenfreude.
