National Basketball Association - 2022/23 Season (Part 1)

Pretty funny stat I just read. The Heat have outscored the Celtics in two of the 12 quarters in this series

Lol. That is crazy.

Three of the quarters were tied, but that’s still a great stat.

Tonight is all the marbles for the mavs. If they go down 3-0 the series is over, even if they pull out a win or two later. But if they can win this one, it might be the start of making this a series.

I take solace in the mavs having won 4 of the last 5 versus Utah and Phoenix. Hopefully home court helps them tonight.

It’s funny reading Reddit subreddits. Phoenix fans were the biggest dbags in the world. Warriors fans have been pretty cool for the most part, which is slightly weird for a dynasty type team who usually have a lot of front running fans. Maybe because this season was not as fait accompli as past seasons makes the run appreciated more. Maybe they just have experience with long playoff runs that they don’t take anything for granted. For the record Utah fans were okay too. Just phoenix fans who really sucked at extraordinarily high levels. I think because of their finals run last year you had this “new money” entitlement attitude. Meanwhile warriors fans have an “old money” attitude.

Good luck warriors stans and mavs stans. Would also say good luck basketball fans and hope it is close, but I very much do not hope it is close. So far they have played one close game out of fifteen in the playoffs.

Crazy that since Jordan won his last title, every NBA Finals has featured the Lakers, Spurs, Warriors or Heat except last year’s Finals. Heat have faced Lakers once and Spurs twice, but never Warriors.

I also think part of it is the Grizz series was so toxic for so many reasons Warrior fans don’t want to do that again. I noticed lots of warrior fans going into this series with the intention of being respectful from the start.

Honestly I notice when its just good basketball most fans are cool. What usually gets them at each others neck is when there is horrible reffing. The team benefiting never wants to admit it and the team fans getting screwed are obviously big mad.

That or a super reckless play that results in injury.

Another fun fact, there was a 20 year stretch from the 1999 NBA finals through the 2018 NBA finals where Kobe, Duncan, Shaq, or Lebron played in every Finals. Sometimes multiple of them.

I think the inconsistent nature of all teams remaining/blowouts has no set of fans puffing their chests out.

You want to act like you’re the best? Well, Warriors are probably winning it all but got humbled by 50.

Basically a long way of pointing out that these last few years of no one repeating going to the Finals is a very strange aberration in modern NBA history.

Was just learned Reggie Bullocks sister was transgender and was killed. He just won the Kareem social justice award. Done a lot of cool stuff for the community.

Well now if Mavs pull a crazy come back I won’t even bad mad. Mad respect.

Also if you guys don’t read Kareems stuff you should. He’s freaking amazing. Even dunked all over Lebron for his dumb ass covid takes.

Dray has been complete ass this series. We were so much better with him off the floor last night. Dunno whats going on but he needs to get it together.

Damn looks like I was wrong and Curry still can’t shoot :frowning:

Luka is absolutely ridiculous lol

That Luka 3 seems to have been a real tide turner.

Anyone want to cliffs me the rule on that backcourt violation? I’m watching on mute.

Thanks. That’s how it looked to me.

And the ref just let him smh. I like the mavs but this bench shit is pathetic. Should be a tech everytime they stand up and get close to the sidelines.

If we were to put a $ value on a single turn over in an NBA playoff game, how much would it be?
