National Basketball Association - 2022/23 Season (Part 1)

Unfortunately the players forget that the game has evolved into a contact sport at light speed. Unfortunately the NBA employers aging boomers and other morons to make split second judgement calls. It can make watching insufferable.

He had zero TOs in the second half while Luka was in foul trouble and they still lost the 2H. But ya , he sucked.

He also did it after his 4th foul.

Someone should tell him refs are egotistical assholes and shit like this will make sure he has a shitty whistle for the rest of his career lol.

CP3 had like 12 points, 4 assists, and 7 turnovers. That’s pretty bad lol. Though to be fair the whole team played bad.

I mean I can’t hate, the entire warriors squad played like that the last game. Shot like 20% from 3 and had 18 turnovers. Insane they only lost by 5.

Mavs just need to run the offense through Brunson like 30-40% of the time. Don’t matter if he starts off bad, it’s their only hope. Hope he gets into a rhythm and also let Luka save some gas for the 4th quarter.

Agreed. Luka needs to be off ball a lot more.

Also part of suns problem is they only got 74 shots.

Fun fact. CP3 has lost all 5 playoff series his team has started of 2-0 in.

This is purely speculation, but imo many of the 3s they hit were shit luck. They were not open looks. It seemed like they hit at least 4-6 hail Mary’s

Sorry for Reddit link they didn’t put it on streamable it seems.

I’m coming around to the idea that the Bucks got extremely lucky last year. If they had faced anyone but the Suns they would have probably gotten the same rigged whistle they’re getting against the Celtics.

Lol they’re playing without their best ball handler/shooter. Take Tatum off of Boston and see how they look

Nice to see refs call a charge on giannis. They really just need to call them all until he changes is still because just running people over sucks

I understand it being tough to ref Giannis, but the one complaint I have this series is that Brown pushes off pretty much every time he has the ball. No idea if that’s what he normally does, as I’ve really only watched Boston this series.

Bucks played like butt in Game 2, reffing or not. Playing like slightly less butt today.

God bless Hubie Brown, but he needs to retire. It’s like just random words and numbers coming out of his mouth.

Man I hope Celtics win this series. I like giannis as a person but he’s completely unwatchable as a player.

I feel the exact opposite - it’s refreshing to watch someone attack the basket with the intent of actually shooting rather than kicking for a three. If anything, NBA should encourage this by not calling all the BS charges where defender is still sliding - GA is nimble enough to get around most defenders so they should be forced to actually try to contest rather than undercut him or flop.

He can also dribble and run at that size. It’s majestic. Embiid and Jokic are amazing, but they can’t break a jog. His combination of size and athleticism is the best thing to watch in the entire league.

As someone who has thr nearest NBA team as an 8 hr drive away, guys I’d like to see most (have seen Curry/KD)

Giannis
Zion
Luka
Ant
Ja
Embiid
Jokic
Lebron
Trae

Think there’s a huge drop off to guys like Tatum, Lamelo etc after that.

Giannis is obviously a blast to watch, he can do stuff no one else can and that’s always compelling.

It’s equally maddening to see the offensive fouls they let him get away with. Other players HAVE to drive and kick because they don’t get away with the same stuff.

And now we’re adding goaltending to the list.
