I just dont see how you can strike the rest of the season but come back to play while Trump is still in office/if he wins re election.

IMO the big long term implication is for the salary cap. The cap is based on a percentage of revenue generated by the league. When revenue goes down due to lost ticket sales, concessions, tv $ (I don’t know the specifics, but I’d be very surprised if the league tv deal would pay out fully if they just scrap the playoffs), the cap would shrink. A lot of guys who are expecting to get big deals will have to adjust their expectations and a lot more teams are going to be looking for trades that let them dump salary.

That is a completely fair complaint. If they are just going to go home, hang out with friends and family and doing interviews then what really is the point. Of course families are supposed to go in bubble on Monday.

The players flexed a little and learned they have power. They don’t yet know what they should do with it. Hopefully, they are on the right path to figuring that out.
