National Basketball Association - 2022/23 Season (Part 1)

Not sure about the reference but I also thought Mitchell was severely overrated and the Jazz will look awful in the playoffs. I was very very wrong.

Iirc he spent a lot of time rage posting about how Mitchell is just a bad chucker after the Nuggets traded that pick for what amounted to a steaming pile of dogshit.

Saw the most absurd stat about the Doncic game yesterday.

He had a 7/8/8 game above the second highest player for that stat in that game for either team.

43 points (next highest - Williams with 36)
17 rebounds (next highest - George/Leonard with 9 each)
13 assists (next highest - Williams with 5)

If you isolate it only to his teammates, it’s 18/9/11.

Almost a triple double in differential. Absurd.

Higher in points for sure, but lower in the other two.

His Game 6 vs Boston after the GJGE game was 28/6/1 vs teammates.

Luka is white LeBron. That OT was incredible. If he can keep his weight under control he’s got Mt Rushmore equity

Get CP3 back in the game JFC

House with the obvious offensive foul. And 1? Atrocious.

ETA I’m clearly not an impartial observer, but this is horrendous officiating. The Adams offensive foul off ball on a made layup? K

We should switch to robot officials.

Did Harden not kick that ball?

It was a kicked ball. Unsurprising no call considering the last few minutes.

It’s crazy that this is my favorite Thunder team in the ~11 years they’ve been here. Such a selfless, fun team. No expectations is more fun than getting gut fucked in the 2016 WCF

Lakers with 43 pts and 30 seconds left in 1st quarter

this team is nuts when everyone’s playing well.

Calling somebody a ‘white boy’ on the court is just… Old-timey? Like, it’s just bizarre to me. Feels like some throwback shit to the 80s/90s.

Speaking of old-timey all eurosteps and stepbacks should be banned.

Lakers most playoff points in a half ever?

Wikipedia says the record is:

  • 87 by the Milwaukee Bucks (vs. Denver Nuggets) on April 23, 1978

80 pts pretty nutso though. I knew they were gonna keep pace with the first quarter. Yea lakers getting every single call their way, but Portlands defense legit has no idea how to stop this.
