Simmons wants to leave Philly because he canât shoot and because Philly (and everyone else) knows it? Did I miss some other issue?
It seems like the whole dynamic in Philly was pretty sour, especially between Simmons and Embiid. Theyâve never seemed to get along great and then Joel publicly threw Ben under the bus in a press conference after a playoff loss when Ben passed up a lay up. Also, their playing styles have never been a great match especially on the offensive side of the ball where Embiid could really use some players who provide more spacing rather than a guy who doesnât stretch the defense because heâs not an outside threat.
Basically, I think Ben just thinks that there are better situations out there for him both off the court and in terms of the skills he brings to the floor.
The big question is whether there are teams out there who agree and what are they willing to give up to get him?

Thanks. I remember the Embiid thing, but I donât follow closely enough to know if that was a one off thing or if there was more discord between the two of them than that.
