Isn’t that tampering?

Growing up a Milwaukee sports fan, last night is a night I had serious doubts would ever come in my lifetime. The first time I ever had real hope was when the original big 3 of Glenn Robinson, Ray Allen, and Sam Cassell went to the ECF along with Tim Thomas playing for a contract. They lost in 7, but would have just been a sacrifice to Shaq and Kobe in the Finals if they had won anyway.

Then the team broke up and the Bucks went back into obscurity for awhile. The 2013 NBA Draft saw the Bucks do something they’d never done before, take the high upside high potential guy to develop rather than the low ceiling proven college athletes they normally took. 6 years later they were up 2-0 in the ECF, with a chance to play what we knew was a Warriors team that wasn’t quite at the top of their game. And then they lost 4 straight.

The next year they were tearing through the regular season and looked like the best team in the NBA. Then covid happened and we learned that Giannis doesn’t even have access to a hoop in isolation. And the Bucks never looked the same in the bubble.

This year was supposed to be Nets-Lakers from the start, but instead KDs toe meant the Bucks got to the ECF again. The path to the title looked almost inevitable until Giannis went down with what looked like the end of the Bucks title hopes. But somehow no structural damage and Khris Middleton was able to carry the Bucks to the Finals.

Then the Bucks look like shit in the first two games, prompting people to question if they would even win a game in the NBA Finals. From that point, 4-0! Title! Giannis Finals MVP with one of the best close out game performances of all-time. Khris Middleton putting himself into a higher level of NBA superstar and doing things that made him look Kobe-like at times.

Giannis goes from looking like he’s out for a year plus to Finals MVP in 3 weeks. Coach Bud goes from most of Milwaukee wanting him to be fired, to never having to pay for a drink in Milwaukee for the rest of his life. It’s all so damn random and luck plays a bigger role in sports than most people will ever truly understand or accept. But we got a Title!!

He isn’t part of the organization anymore AFAIK. But it probably was tampering when he enticed Lebron away from the Cavs in 2018.

Well, they can’t sign him anyway. They’re already well over the cap.

What percentage of that crowd is vaccinated?

No idea but the percent with natural immunity is sure to increase.

Makes me want to go out and order some Chik-Fil-A.

Some people may have noticed Giannis talking into his phone during the celebrations. He was IG’ing live with his brother, Thanasis, who was in COVID protocol. The same reporter, I believe, posted some of those videos.

I have a gay friend that eats at Chick-fil-A all the time. He doesn’t drink or smoke so he rationalizes that it’s his one vice.
