I agree with you. I get a lot more information in a much more organized format from Categories. But the majority of people seem to prefer Latest.
eta: Latest probably makes more sense for mobile users.
I think I used to browse by categories but then one day my view changed to (I guess what is called) latest. I was kind of pissed off but I didnât want to complain. Now I love it.
You can set whatever you want as the default in your preferences.
Do it. Iâll make a gimmick called Duck and we can get into heated debates where everything we say uselessly rolls off each other.

Yeah I assumed that. But I pretty much never mess around with any of that stuff unless something irritates me enough to bother figuring it out. If I hadnât quickly adjusted to the new default, (I assume the default was changed to âlatestâ because I didnât do it myself), I would have eventually figured it out.
Iâm sensing a lot of dog and cat gimmicks in the near future.

Getting back on topic, how about merging both currently active topics into Chitchat, bumping the Economy thread we already have, and then if some of you want to discuss individual investing and stocks you can start a dedicated thread for that?

Speaking of thread titles, itâs cool that TL3 users can change them, but now that people are going buck-wild with it Iâm having a harder time scanning for and navigating to some of the threads I routinely read.
Iâm not suggesting that we remove the renaming capability but that people just exercise a little more thought when doing it.

It appears this has already happened, right? Just move the Investing thread to Sundry Chitchat and youâll have an Individual Economics thread and an Investing thread in Sundry, and then bump an Economy thread in Politics and weâve got what you want.
Yeah. I like the ability to do that, but it calls for a little restraint from people. I guess as long at itâs mostly done to threads with titles like âA semi-permanent title: sub-title that changes a lotâ itâs not that confusing though.
