Itās wild that trying to kidnap the governor is legal in Michigan, wonder why more people havenāt tried that.

The trial was in Grand Rapids! Iām curious how jury selection in federal cases works though, do people from the whole district get summons?

Anyway, the idea that twelve Michigan jurors are all right wing militia sympathizers is a joke. The case was surely quite weak, not that any of us are in any sort of position to understand the evidence better than the jury.

Right. The idea that western Michigan is all a bunch of racist hicks is absurd. If the prosecutors canāt convince twelve jurors from Michigan that these guys are guilty then thereās something wrong with their case. And if the defense gets a not guilty verdict on two defendants then thereās REALLY something wrong with their case. Whitmer won by ten points, itās very likely that some of those jurors who acquitted voted for her four years ago.
