Grand Rapids voted 70% for Biden. Like I said that map you posted probably voted 60/40 for Trump. There were probably four or five Whitmer voters on the jury, and almost surely not zero.
You can net Kent and one of those counties (Ottawa, itās the āslightly redā to the boxy blue county) in the 2020 election and be Trump +14k. That area outside of Grand Rapids and Muskegon is the trumpiest of the trumpiest area outside of the beachside communities (which are still pretty trumpy).
GR is purple at best, and far from other blue city enclaves like Detroit, Ann Arbor, and other midwest cities.
two were hung juries, the most important men involved. This is line with previous attempts to bring right wing terrorists to justice in America. Pay attention indeed.
Honestly pretty strange to see you step up for the idea that the FBI is unfairly prosecuting white supremacist terrorists based on a single jury result, which jury after jury result has supported obviously guilty white supremacists time after time. Iāve seen you lament those results!
lol ikes, lash out? I just said that if the jury was from the whole western part of the state it was probably right leaning but that pool is probably something like 60/40 so there were likely a good number of Whitmer voters. I think that if there was an actual, serious plot to murder or kidnap Whitmer that the Feds could prove then these guys would easily get convicted by even a right-leaning jury. And as regrettable and outrageous as it is that these sorts of FBI entrapment tactics work against ostracized and marginalized Muslims, it seems like the FBI used the same tactics here and itās good that they didnāt work.
What is your assertion for how much lower the conviction rate is in those cases versus the 99% overall fed rate or whatever high number it is? And what are you claiming is the difference, the jury pool? The laws? Something else, some combination?
I donāt have an exact number, but you have shown that you well aware of how hard it is to convict these types of people in other circumstances. The Bundy trial is particularly egregious. If you start adding in cases against cops, it likely gets worse.
You know that itās hard to convict white supremacists. Come on dude.
I think I might have talked about how hard it is to get charges brought, and how much larger the networks of violent right wingers are than people believe, but if you say Iāve also talked about conviction rates, you may well be remembering something Iāve forgotten ever talking about and may or may not still agree with
