Major League Baseball (Part 1)

LET’S FUCKING GO CARDINALS!

Counterpoint: Cardinals winning is never ever a great story.

Not many great stories in baseball playoffs wise. Most everyone has either been there a bunch, treats their up an comers terribly or is managed by Tony La Russa.

If the Red Sox don’t do anything, gimme Blue Jays and Braves please.

Yankees over Cardinals in four imo

The Busch Light Drinkers of America Association disagrees.

Apparently one of the few Cardinals fans here, if it wasn’t obvious that my user name is a play on their mascot. Though I pretty much gave up sports a few years ago. I haven’t watched even a single baseball game this year.

I was guessing that they are the underdogs and have the lowest payroll.

Pads would have been the best story out of anyone but even that’s a stretch.

I’m very confused. The Cardinals aren’t even close to the lowest payroll

Rays have the lowest payroll by a lot (assuming mariners don’t make it). They are 26th in the league. Cardinals are 9th.

Think the Mariners charge their players to play.

clearly they do not charge enough

I was just guessing and not even considering AL teams.

I would absolutely root for the Mariners if they were in it.

Giants (10), Braves (12) and Brewers (19) are lower in the NL

I stand corrected. I just remembered them letting Pujols walk.

Cardinals are like the only truly hateable team in MLB. Maybe BoSox.

Any reason not to root for the Rays? They seem like the perfect organization

Pretty sure I am forced by law to give you a standing ovation for that take.

I don’t traditionally root for AL teams.

Mariners would be an exception since they have zero champs.

Giants are the clear best story this year. Projected to finish third and maybe hit 500, won the most games in franchise history with a ragtag bunch of old timers having miraculous career years, bumping the highly favored dodgers into the wild card game?

Cmonnnnnnn

Yeah you really just have to feel for the Giants and their recent lack of success in the postseason.
