Major League Baseball (Part 1)

It confuses me because I associate Cincinnati with Hungarian/German food. Have you ever been to this place?

Skyline and Gold Star are disgusting but in the same way that McDonald’s and Burger King are disgusting. I’m open to the idea that someone’s making good Cincinnati chili but don’t go there often enough to know who/where those places might be.

oh yes! it’s so good.

The thing about Cincy you have to remember is, for a long time, it was THE jewel of the “west”. So while yes, there are lots of German and central European immigrants, there are also lots of immigrants/transplants from other places, too. There was quite a large Greek population, as well as Italian and Irish.

I lived in Columbus for 5 years and had Skyline one time.

That was plenty.

well, we have better ice cream than Columbus, too.

Graeter’s >>>>>> Jeni’s

so there!

Then don’t call it chili lol.

I can’t go back in time to like 1920 or whatever and get them to change it, lol

If you could go back in time and were only allowed to change the name or kill Hitler which would you pick?

LOL if you’re serious, Hitler.

but…

time travel hurts my brain

Can confirm Graeter’s is the best ice cream, especially the Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip.

Mets announcer just said that to make up for his chili hate.

Sanchez just hit a home run so hard that no one on Philly even bothered to turn around and look.

How does this ump have a job?

Last pitch of the game was also a fairly obvious ball in a similar spot called strike.

I wonder how much ending the game on a bad pitch costs a team in runs.

UNIONS

I’m learning all kinds of new stuff today. For example, I’ve only had Graeter’s in Columbus and I often got that buckeye flavor, so I just associated it with Columbus.

So Buccs win Super Bowl. Bucks win NBA title.

Huge Pirates run coming.

Hot take: since they started selling out of state, and built a new factory, their quality has diminished. I think they increased their overrun. (amount of air that is incorporated)

Quality diminished or not, when I finally get back to Ohio it’ll be the first thing I eat.

Flores, 0 for 8 against Jansen lifetime, absolutely crushes a 440 footer to give the Giants the lead in the ninth.

Jansen gives up a double and now the crowd is booing him.

As always, stay classy Dodger fans.
