I’ve been to lots of Yankees/Sox games at Fenway. Usually we do exactly that. Last time we were there we found front row seats right on top of the bullpens for like $100 30 minutes before first pitch. The seats were literally folding chairs lol. But it worked out because one of my buddies is 6’5” 300+lbs and he sometimes has an issue with the regular seats at Fenway.
For the right price, the standing room only Monster seats are worth it IMO if you’ve never been up there before. Really cool place to watch the game.
ETA: Every game we go to we have a standing bet. I’m a Yankees fan, he’s a Sox fan. Whoever’s team loses, the loser has to wear the winners’ team’s shirt to the next game we go to. It’s hilarious seeing his huge self rocking a Yankees shirt when we go. Last one was a Sox win so I’m up next, sigh. And we’ll prolly go to the Bronx for that.

I’m 6’0", and when I’ve sat in the covered reserve seats at Fenway my knees bump against the seat in front of me.
Consequently, I’ll now only sit in either the bleachers or the box seats. When I took my visiting buddy to a game in the beginning of June against the Astros we got these seats for $75 each.

Joe Posnanski is publishing his Baseball 100 book this fall, and I’ve pre-ordered it on Amazon. It’s $34. I just got an email (because I love Posnanski’s writing and follow him everywhere) saying that if you preorder the book from Rainy Day Books, Joe will not only get an autographed copy, but also write anything you want** in the inscription. That’s $40.
I feel like I should cancel my Amazon order and go with the Rainy Day Books order, but I’m not actually sure what to ask for as far as the inscription goes. It would be cool if he wrote something about my favorite player (Johnny Bench), but Bench is definitely one of the 100 players in the book, so he’ll be talked about plenty already. I can also imagine asking him to write “Hot fruit pies are delicious”, which is a semi-obscure reference to the long-running debate on his podcast with Mike Schur, where Joe has the obviously-correct side of the argument.
But unless I can think of a good inscription, inertia is probably going to leave me on Amazon.
