In comparison, Ohtani has been walked 36 times this year.
I don’t know if Giants stadium changed, but it was the worst hitter park until the changes they put last year (and it’s still pretty bad). So Bonds got that going for him too.

I often think about whether there is such a thing as a truly unbreakable record.
I can imagine someone hitting 74 and 760, but I find it hard to wrap my head around anyone anywhere ever breaking Bonds’ IBB records
Gwynn has some strikeout records that seem pretty safe.
The IBB is pretty insane although I’m partial to his .600+ OBP in 2004. Like, what? That’s men’s softball league numbers

Baseball has a number of records that will never be broken just because of how much the game has changed. I mean, there’s no one active who’s within A THOUSAND STEALS of Rickey Henderson.
Yeah but you can picture someone coming along with Rickey’s speed and chance taking. It might not be in our lifetimes but I can see it happening.

Brewers scored 2 runs with only an infield hit played by the pitcher. Two different styles of ball clubs: making the least out of the most and making the most out of the least.

A cursory glance and more 4 hit games (45)than 2 strikeout games (36) stands out.
