Major League Baseball (Part 1)

Connie Mack turning over in his grave.

He was the nicest guy in the AA Southern League during my season as a bat boy. That was 2003, the third year into his yips saga, in which he posted a 6.29 ERA in 20 minor league appearances, half of them starts.

He would often sit next to me instead of his teammates.

His presence felt like an old man to me, but he was 23. Younger than probably half the Southern League still.

Rangers in close game late. Oh yeah it’s the As. Bring on the runs.

I can honestly see them not winning 11 more games

How did they win 9 games? It’s a miracle

2023 6

Before we get to game #6… Sabo the dog achieved a significant milestone upon watching the Ports win game #5 in Stockton. He has completed his Stadium Quest. He’s now been to every stadium (dog friendly, majors or minors) in the Sabo Zone (AZ, CA, NV).

  • SDDC game #6, Tuesday: Royals (1-0) @ Padres (1-0)

The Royals are eliminated from the SDDC with a loss. OTOH a Padres loss eliminates the undefeated Rockies (1-0) and the yet to play Mariners, Giants, and Angels organizations.

gotta get the first cycle while pitching since tungsten

No starting pitcher has ever done it. Not even the great Tungsten Arm O’Doyle. The only guy to actually hit for the cycle having pitched in a game at all did it in 1888, over 30 years prior to Tungsten Arm’s reign.

Uhhh, right in front of the LFer. He probably gets there dropping it in one of the gaps.

Yeah but what about hitting for the cycle while pinching a no hitter?

Is this likely to be a result of rules/ball differences, or is he cooked?

Probably threw out his arm doing stupid training shit from the dunning-kruger crew

You are one weird spiteful dude.

@LFS

The real answer is two years of rust plus having to deal with a new ball and mound is going to cause issues. Three games is also too little to make any big determinations (although obviously a bad start). His fastball is supposedly still the same speed, so possible he’s still got his stuff and will adjust.

Lol at defending Bauer and calling someone criticizing him spiteful.

Very weird and freakish behavior tbqh

I’m not defending Bauer, I’m pointing out your weird obsession with Driveline and Kyle B. I’m assuming you had some spat with him on 2+2.

Manoah looking like complete dog shit. Looks a bit out of shape too. Hopefully he can right the ship.

Not a spat. Kyle just routinely embarrassed this poster for being so brazenly ignorant about things he pretends to be an authority on.
