My last glove was a mizuno I think. F America.
Off a lefty this time too.
The A’s walked 17 batters last night. They outhit the Mets and lost 17-6.
Pretty sure I could pitch and not walk 17 batters.
I’d probably tear up my elbow but I wouldn’t walk 17 batters that’s for sure!
On the road again
Sabo can’t wait to get on the road again
The life he loves is watching baseball with his friends
And Sabo can’t wait to get on the road again
On the road again
Goin’ places that he’s never been
Seein’ things that he may never see again
And Sabo can’t wait to get on the road again
On the road again
Like a pair of gypsies we go down the highway
We’re the best of friends
Insisting that the world keep turning our way
And our way Is
on the road again
And Sabo can’t wait to get on the road again
And now, Sabo doesn’t have to wait to get on the road again
As off we go to Visalia !
An NFL Man of the Year Award winner would never lie. FSU was robbed.
(Just re-watched it. I was surprised they called that play from 6.5 yards, I thought it was closer. Whoever #37 UVA was made an unreal play, looks like he stopped short and there’s no way replay could’ve overturned it even if it existed)
After switching streaming services to get Bally, I’ve come to learn that Annie Sabo hosts the Reds postgame show.
Annie Sabo
Who I just learned is retired MLBer Chris Sabo’s daughter. Their last name is spelled the same as my dog’s name, but pronounced differently.
Three pitchers were cracked with line drives today. Looks like all of them will be okay, but the time will come soon when that is not the case. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve brought the lively baseball back into play since everyone seems so in love with “exit velocity”. I don’t know. Just a feeling that they’re playing a bit of russian roulette out there with the pitchers’ safety.
Pitchers should wear helmets, full stop.
not sure if this was one of the 3 you were referencing, but here is one guy who’s out for a couple of weeks after getting hit with a comebacker off his throwing elbow
OAKLAND — The Mets’ pitching staff took another hit Saturday when right-hander Stephen Nogosek was placed on the 15-day injured list with a bone bruise on his right elbow. However, the …
The replay looked like he took the line drive square off his back, but the ball apparently deflected off his arm first.
Agree with Sabo about them wearing hardhats.
Nope. This guy isn’t among the three from yesterday.
Milwaukee Brewers reliever Gus Varland was hit on the right hand and then his jaw with a 105.1 mph line drive by Manny Machado and came out of Saturday's game against the San Diego Padres.
Toronto Blue Jays reliever Jordan Romano suffered a contusion on his right rib cage as he closed out a 5-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday, but the team later announced that X-rays did not reveal a fracture.
Rangers right-hander Jon Gray left Saturday night's game against the Astros after being hit on his throwing elbow by a line drive in the 3rd inning.
Luis Arraez pinch-hits in the 7th inning and knocks an RBI single to center field to give the Marlins a 3-2 lead
it’s early but this guy may be the steal of the off season.
2023 4
In game #3 the Quake shook the Rawhide 12-4. Valley Strong Ballpark does indeed now have a in-stadium leash-free area, with proper sally gates. Free parking, free dog admission. Which makes it the #1 dog friendly venue in all of sports.
At a bar after the game, the guy next to me asked what I did that evening. I said I went to the MiLB game. He said he did too, and took his kids. I said I took my dog. He said he remembered Sabo from the game in his Padres shirt.
From our base in Visalia, we’re making a day trip ~40 miles north to Fresno and Chukchansi Park. This is both our first visit to Fresno (we’ve driven through Fresno a few times) -and- our first look at the Grizzlies. We will have seen all eight current Caloop teams after this game. This is another new stadium for both of us.
The D’backs organization was eliminated from the SDDC race with yesterday’s loss. Today’s game is a SDDC double elimination game.
Yesterday was the most confusing day in MLB… Jackie Robinson day. What I was curious about, was if it’s the most confusing day in MiLB too. It turns out that, while #42 is retired on all MiLB teams too, everyone wears their normal numbers this day in MiLB.
Astros crushing Gausman
The Giants are bad and should feel bad.
