LC Thread 2020: What the PUNK? ROCK.

I was in the Amazon room on Day 1 of the Main Event. That was interesting.

Yeah that’s it. I forgot it was that strong - I think there was like a 4.x or 5.x there a day or two prior that some people in Vegas felt and some didn’t.

Some dude abandoned his hand with a flopped set lol… I had never been in a real earthquake before but I was mentally prepared for it cause I knew the first one in Ridgecrest could have been a pre-shock. Just covered my chips with my hands and sat tight.

Yeah the swinging lights were not pleasant. I had a sick feeling the longer it lasted knowing that meant it was a big one since it was almost certainly in Ridgecrest again.

Set flopper’s cards were mucked before he got back… He was a few tables over so I don’t know the specifics.

since today can’t get any worse, I bought my first ever Hard Seltzer. Seemed fitting. It will be disgusting i’m sure.

I’d imagine only a day after being removed from a warm, secure, quiet place with automatic food delivery most babies are pretty pissed off.

San Gabriel isn’t very far. I had just gone to bed, but wasn’t asleep yet and didn’t even get up.

I wasn’t really close to the epicenters, but I was in the Bay Area in 88 and in LA in 92.

Yesterday I removed a solar array for a roofer right near where the 710 ends at Valley Blvd. I’ll be back there tomorrow to put it back on. I hope it didn’t knock over the solar panels that are leaning up against the garage. Probably not.

A+, worth 8 minutes.

Also, peak Millenials.

Earthquake was a real shaker in Glendale, about 12 miles from the epicenter. It woke me up and had the dog barking.

Authoritarian dictatorship?

I texted the HO. Solar panels didn’t fall over. They were even leaned kinda steep because I wasn’t at all worried about the wind where they were.

this is completely unsurprising but it is fascinating to see it in action

So my old desktop took a shit and I’m trying to decide on a new computer.

Should I get a decent rig where I could play games or just a basic decent computer? I haven’t played video games in like 5+ years and just used my PC to browse the web and play online poker but to be fair my computer stopped being able to play good games a long time ago. My ol boy was like 10 years old lol.

Being able to play some video games and zone out sometimes sounds nice, especially if we turn into a literal fascist hellscape. Before I was spending too much time socializing/having a GF/grinding to really play video games but now I have all the time in the world. But I don’t know video games don’t really call to me anymore.

Someone make a decision for me.

Eyeing this and plan on purchasing by the end of the year. Doesn’t break the bank and powerful enough for gaming and/or running solves. Gonna plug it right into my TV and worry about screen resolution if I ever get back into games where that matters.

Easier and cheaper to build your own pc, even if you aren’t a gamer. There are tons of how-to videos and guides out there, and even the most inexperienced builder can put one together in a couple hours max.

I don’t want something that shines lights like that. i was looking at one that was a really good deal but it had a 4 fans that were fucking LED lights. I feel like it’d annoy me and scare away any girls.

I know cyberpowerPC does a lot of these though.
