I would say this wonāt happen but I feel like Vance will insist on it. Iām not dumb enough to predict anything in politics, but like, how can this not go great? I feel like Walz could just show up with Vance quotes and read them off a piece of paper. And like āIn the small towns Iām from, we donāt write books about how our familyās problems are their faultā. If I am Vanceās debate prep team, I have no idea what I tell him to say.

I tried to order on the Harris site but it wonāt go through. Campaign still has not officially announced btw.
I didnāt see JD Vance debate during his Ohio Senate run, but I donāt start from any assumption that heās bad at debates. My guess would be that heās relatively capable in that setting. Granted, debates are performances and itās difficult to imagine him coming across as the more likable candidate, which I suppose is all that matters. To the extent that anything in a VP debate matters.
This is stupid as hell, but Iām tearing up right now. I spend most of my workday with kids that have been fucked over by their crap lives in a society that dgaf about them. I canāt express how good it feels to have a VP candidate who wants to feed and educate children instead of ignoring them.

Yea this is probably the most feel good moment in dem politics in a decade for non centrist edems. She actually chose a bona-fide progressive who is incredibly likable and seems really difficult to attack. The Harris campaign has been A++ so far.

ETA: and I dont think its just this VP pick in a vacuum that feels good. (We didnt just fall out if a coconut tree, did we?) Its the entire arc of the past three weeks. The whole narrative flipping, us going from drawing stone dead to having a solid ticket with a progressive VP. Trump flailing. Etc. Today is a damn good feeling day.
