For me it’s in 2023 we became further removed from the Portland Trail Blazers game seven collapse against Kobe and Shaq in the 2000 Western Conference Finals than that series was from the Blazers winning the championship in 1977.

in all fairness to the trailblazers shaq had an otherworldy 4th quarter in his absolute prime, not sure anything couldve stopped it. one of my favorite shaq moments is about 2 mins left he gets a big block after shoving his teammates out of the way to do it, he wanted it bad

We are far from the death of the guy who played old Private Ryan as the death of old Private Ryan is from the release of Back to the future, a movie whose release is as far from the 1955 time period that Michael J. Fox gets trapped in as it is from the 2015 release of the Martian where the guy who plays young Private Ryan gets stuck on Mars. And we are as far from the release of the Martian as the release of the Martian is from the death of the guy who played old Private Ryan. Also, the guys who plays old Private Ryan was ironically named Young; feeling old yet?
