It’s close! For me 40 is the beginning of middle age. I remember a scene in Frasier where he claimed middle age begins at 55, and Niles said lol yeah, if you live to be 110.
You mean you laughed? Or did you literally just say “haha?” Because that’s an odd reaction.
If you say it’s the middle of your adulthood, then it’s about 50.
Seems unfair to count years before your brain was developed against the formula.
Oh yeah, One Day at a Time (original 70s version) made the same joke about 36 being middle-aged since the average lifespan was 72.
