Well there are a lot of top level domains now, not a few of which are not uncommon surnames.
True story - when they added my name I managed to get a few for my family (they make good stocking stuffers imo). For a few days I created an embarrassing GeoCities style website for my brother under his first.last which made him boiling mad.
