We used a lathe in my high school shop class. didn’t even know it was supposed to be dangerous. Only found out later that most schools don’t have them.
Anyway, these are usually stupid but I laughed at this one

This scares the hell out of me. I was dumb enough on Reddit to see some photos a while back of a lathe accident. Someone commented to remember you’re the softest thing in the whole shop. The lathe wants to kill you.
