Same here, both are solid imo.
This is a pretty good list. I’d remove candy corn and smarties. Good n Plenty I think would be my vote for worst. I’ve never had a Mary Jane, but everything else on the list I hate. Tootsie Rolls are meh, but I remember occasionally you’d get the flavored Tootsie Rolls and those would be good.
Circus Peanuts are absolutely the worst, even worse than those pumpkin things.
2 through 6 are all varying degrees of not good.
No idea what a Mary Jane is.
I like all of 8, 9, and 10.
Mary Janes are actually decent IIRC. I remember seeing the odd one here and there in my bag when I was a kid and finally decided to try one and it was ok. Same with Bit O’ Honey and #3 on the above list.
Tootsie Rolls are good. Also good for pulling loose teeth. Smarties can be nice once in a while, too. Nothing you’d go out and buy, but hey, if I want a quick sweet, I’m ok with grabbing some Smarties from the bottom of my kids’ bags.
