Jeffrey Epstein and Associates

Turns out Prince Andrew’s never even heard of him. Can’t wait to see what Epstein says about that.

Mother jones put out a long interview with one of Epstein’s close friends where the guy says over and over again that the girls knew what they were doing and that Jeffery didn’t really do anything wrong and that he did so much good for science and that it’s awful that evil journalists are trying to besmirch his name.

So definitely put me down in the “lots of people knew and didn’t care and probably joined in” camp.

Prince Andrew took flight on Epstein private jet with Russian model
In 1999, prince and Anna Malova were among nine people on previously undisclosed flight from the US Virgin Islands to Florida

Unclear exactly how much, but at least some of the camera footage from outside of his cell is “unuseable.”

Tots and pears that the run of bad luck in this case clears up soon, eh.

"It was not immediately clear why some video footage outside Epstein’s cell is too flawed for investigators to use or what is visible in the usable footage. "

For the NO CONSPIRACY truthers lurking out there, can you please let me know what facts are OK to take away from this one?

Just another strange coincidence. Coincidences happen all the time.

And there are no small coincidences or big coincidences, just coincidences.

I was thinking about this thread recently. Someone on team #NothingToSeeHere was saying that there’s no hard evidence of conspiracy, and that to believe foul play was involved is pure assumption, therefore the default position should be no conspiracy.

My response to that is, where is the hard evidence for no conspiracy? There is no such thing as an assumption-free side here. You’re assuming that there was no conspiracy. That’s fine, but you have yet to present an argument ITT for why your assumption is more likely to be true than mine.

Obviously this isn’t like a card probability that can be exactly calculated; it’s a matter of subjective judgment based partly on life experience. Among other things, my life experience tells me that powerful rich men (like the people Epstein had mountains of dirt on) don’t sit idly when in danger of suddenly losing everything.

You said this would happen, and just like that - it did
Wrong about the feeling, wrong about the sound
But right to say we would stand down
An hour went by without a fighter in the sky
You said there’s a reason why
Tell me now, I must confess
I’m not - I’m not sick enough to guess

Lol you cannot prove nonexistence of something.

Conveniently this also applies to security footage.

Team #NothingToSeeHere’s only competent representative is simplicitus AFAIK (Trolly announced his resignation but I’m not sure he was serious). You are right that the others have veered into making, or at least into functionally implying, positive assertions no more supportable in practical terms than many fanciful scenarios.

The correctly-argued answer to your question is that rejecting claims of a conspiracy doesn’t entail a positive claim in the way that eg “The official account of events is 100% accurate and only a chin-dribbling basket case could even dream otherwise” does.

I didn’t say “prove”, and obviously there is no way to prove either side without hard evidence.

The inability to prove the negative doesn’t make the negative more or less likely. Without any information whatsoever (like for an alien visiting earth, or someone raised by wolves), this would be a complete 50/50. My experience tells me it’s more than 50/50 that something shady went on. Other reasonable people can infer that it’s more than 50/50 the other way. But it’s irrational to say that “no conspiracy” is a lock just because there’s no physical evidence.

In this case, “absence of evidence ≠ evidence of absence.”

I said that I’d be on team cover_up once it became public that’s there little to no video evidence & if GM was not picked up and arrested.

It’s now officially a cover up in my book, no ifs no buts.

Prove me wrong now.

I learned from TV cop shows that there are no such things as coincidences.

If all proofs that conclude DNE are bogus, I’m going to want a refund for my $250 calculus textbook.

I can get crystal clear video from a $35 cat cam on amazon, but the video from outside the cell of the highest profile inmate in the country is unuseable. Ok.
