Dershowitz compared Lincoln allowing Union soldiers to vote during the Civil War with Trump freezing Congressionally appropriated funds until the recipient of those funds investigated a domestic political opponent.
Trump’s self-interest compared to Lincoln’s was not a strategic plan I think he thought through very well.
