I can’t even imagine what leverage Facebook thinks it has. Everyone hates them, even their core customer of mouth breathing mentally impaired boomers.
Zuck still somehow doesn’t get that Trump is going to straight up nuke his company in 2025, incredible.
One of the comments on the linked article said
Someone read something and completely misunderstood it. There is no threat here, and no promises either unfortunately.
A publicly traded company must inform its shareholders of risks to the business. What they said is quite simply “if the EU makes it illegal for us to do our business in Europe the way we are currently doing it, we may stop to do business in Europe.”. Which is quite obvious really.
It is mentioned because it is a possible risk to their business (however unlikely, it’s possible), and they have to mention all possible risks.
Not sure if that is true - don’t know where the author sourced from - or whether commenter is just a shill - but may be relevant?
It’s just another version of "we have billions of dollars but cant meet basic standards of compliance/customer safety/employee wellbeing because… "
They are still pretending they are some disruptive upstart working out of a garage on a shoe string.
This whole meta verse thing will never work because of groping, sexual assault and plain assault. Unless the consequences are the same as in the real world these actions will be hugely problematic.
I’m pretty sure this is a feature, not a bug. You say groping, Zuck says he’s just helping people connect with one another.

So Facebook has the Facebook of lawyers representing them.
strong WE GOT HIM vibes
“But we at Facebook think Bulgarians have the inalienable right to farm support for Canadian truckers”.
Same thing here… There were 50k “attendees” on Facebook but very few showed up.
A story in 5 parts. Let’s do a little “independent” fact-checking, shall we?

This meme was posted in one of the secret progressive groups made up of people in my town (it has to stay secret because I live in trumplandia). This is what I see:
-
Oh, a fact check. How is this possibly missing context? Whatever, I’ll check it out.
-
Hmm, it’s from the AFP, which is French state media. Weird, but whatever. That headline is pretty matter-of-fact, though. I’ll click on it.

Uhhhh, what the fuck, over? Where are they getting this and saying it like it’s 100% fact? This guy:

What is AEI, you ask?
By the way, AEI is more than “right-leaning.” Also, they wrote their own wiki page and used thei own sources:
And then they act like Trump instructing his supporters to believe him instead of the media is a wildly unreasonable request.
I don’t like either side in this and I’m a Texan.
